This itinerary promises an immersive safari experience starting in Nairobi and continuing in Laikipia, Kenya's heartland. After arriving in Nairobi and enjoying a warm welcome, you'll fly to Loisaba and explore the Naibunga Conservancy, where Maasai culture and wildlife thrive. Expect game drives, nature walks, and a glimpse into Maasai traditions like the Singing Wells. You'll learn how to track wildlife, observe elephants, lions, and more, and enjoy authentic experiences like starbed camping under the African sky. The trip concludes with a flight back to Nairobi, blending adventure with cultural richness.

(Day 1)

Arrival and Nairobi Stay

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

  • Upon your arrival in Nairobi, a driver will greet you at the airport with a warm welcome.
  • You will then be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi, where you can settle in and rest after your journey.
  • Day 2: Transfer to Laikipia & Naibunga Conservancy

    • Start your day with a transfer to Wilson airstrip for a flight to Loisaba. Upon arrival, Maasai guides will welcome you.
    • On the way to Naibunga Conservancy, enjoy a short game drive. Naibunga is made up of 9 Maasai ranches that conserve over 50,000 hectares of land, where local communities live in harmony with wildlife such as elephants, lions, and wild dogs.
    • In the afternoon, take a nature walk and relax with a sundowner by the Ewaso River.
  • Day 3: Exploring Naibunga Conservancy

    • The conservancy offers thrilling adventures for both motorcycle and 4WD enthusiasts, with smooth tracks and sandy luggas.
    • You’ll meet the vibrant, young Maasai community, eager to share their passion for conservation.
    • Visit Lewaso Camp, founded by Paul Lebeneiyo, a Maasai warrior turned renowned guide. He’ll share his story and local insights as you go on your first game drive with the Maasai, learning to read animal tracks.
  • Day 4: Sustainable Safari at Ewaso Camp

    • At Ewaso Camp, sustainability and local culture are central. Rarely visited by tourists, this region offers a truly authentic Kenyan experience.
    • Today, you’ll visit the famous Singing Wells, where Maasai warriors sing to their cows as they water them. You’ll also learn about medicinal plants and how the Maasai live in harmony with nature.
    • The region is home to big cats, including black leopards, and large elephant populations. Take in the unique scenery as you explore the area.

Days 2 - 4

Laikipia Safari Experience

Activities and Departure

  • Day 5: Maasai Culture and Wildlife Training

    • You can choose from various activities, such as:
      • Game drives and walking safaris.
      • Wildlife training, including reading tracks and survival in the bush.
      • A visit to a Maasai market, the Singing Wells, and the Maasai Children’s Wildlife School.
      • Learn about medicinal plants and finish the day with a sundowner in the stunning wilderness.
    • As a special surprise, you’ll walk to Koija starbeds to spend a night under the African sky.
  • Day 6: Farewell to Laikipia

    • On your final safari day, spend time with the Maasai, reflecting on the connections you’ve made and the lessons learned about living in harmony with nature.
  • Day 7: Departure

    • After a memorable stay, you’ll be transferred to Loisaba airstrip for a flight back to Nairobi. From there, you will be driven to the international airport for your departure.
